I have been reluctant to spin at home of late. I was uncertain of the cause, but a chance conversation with No-Blog-Rachel helped me figure it out: I wasn't enjoying the fiber I was spinning! I was spinning a baby camel and sill blend, and while it is beautiful to look at and soft to touch, the two fibers are not well blended in the roving. I am going to take this roving and reblend it on the drum carder and I'm sure I will enjoy it more. In the meantime I have gone back to comfort spinning- superwash merino! This is a Blue Moon Fiber Arts Sheep to Shoe kit in Lapis that I have planned for a sweater. What a pleasure to spin!

It was good to be back in the shop today, feeling much more like myself than I did on Monday. It was a busy day, too. There is always so much to do when you own a small business! I at least felt accomplished come day's end.
Tomorrow is my first long day (open 'til 9 p.m.) in the shop since my flu incident last week. It should be fine. I'm actually astonished about how strong I feel given how weak I was last week! I guess all this fitness is paying off in giving me a relatively quick bounce back timeline. Yeah!
For those of you interested in such, the Pantheacon schedule of events is up. I'm really excited as there are several classes I'm really looking forward to. I've been perusing the schedule for my plan, and fortunately for me there aren't a lot of places where I will wish for a time turner to be in two places at once! I am going to miss out on a yoga workshop, but I have found in the past that it's better for me to stay at Con and be immersed in that space than to try and be in too many different settings on that weekend. My focus just becomes too diverse.

I had a very busy day off today! I'm happy to report that the ugly flu from last week is truly gone. The day started off nicely with some much needed connection time with my beautiful wife. She brought Peets in with her from her round dropping off the child at school. Doesn't get much better than that!
We spent a fair amount of time today doing some much needed clothes sorting. The result is a huge pile of go-away clothes (again!) and happily organized clothes from which to choose when getting dressed. That makes my morning go so much more smoothly! I was so pleased that the next size smaller workout clothes fit now. There will be more rounds of clothing going away over the next few months, so another Swap will be in order soon! Tonight's efforts cleared yet another storage box to go away as well. Yeah!
Here is a picture of the sweater rack all newly cleared and organized. It felt great to get some of this done!

We went to Cambria for Thanksgiving last year, and really, really enjoyed the trip. I had such trepidations about traveling for Turkey Day. I'm really a homebodey, doncha know? (I know that's not much of a surprise to most of you!) Nonetheless, I'm so glad we went and I'd love to go again next year!
This photo of Kaye and me at Hearst Castle from that trip really shows how far we've come in our personal goals for this year. I'm so happy to be on this journey with such a wonderful Wife! I love you, Kaye, so much!
We've both seriously undergrown the clothes we were wearing here!

I have my new iphone! I'm so excited! Hopefully, I will now be able to get more pictures loaded to show you all the wonderful things I see everday. It's a wild, colorful world that we live in, and I'm really looking forward to sharing my view of it.
