"Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow
a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come."
It is New Year's day, 1 January, 2010, C.E. I find it interesting that though my spiritual path celebrates the new year cycle starting around November 1 of the Gregorian calendar, I see all around me a world starting anew. I feel caught up in the excitement of New Year's Day along with everyone else. Isn't it wonderful to have an opportunity to start anew on my personal work today, just as I did last November 1st!
As our beloved Rumi states, the caravan is always here, always available, Love always remains open to us whenever we wish to open to its possibilities. The offering is unconditional; no matter how many times I need to begin anew I can try, try again.
May we all let ourselves open to the Light of Love once again. And again. And again!
